Welcome to Berkeley Alumni
Installed November 1, 1959, Berkeley Alumni is one of several Alumni Chapters in Mu Phi Epsilon. We are located in Northern California in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area. We hold meetings and recitals throughout Contra Costa and Alameda Counties, and we also have the privilege of performing for residents of the Rossmoor Retirement Community. We are proud to be Golden Benefactors to the Mu Phi Epsilon Foundation.
About Mu Phi Epsilon
Mu Phi Epsilon is an International Professional Music Fraternity open to both men and women, serving musicians at all levels. Founded in 1903, our mission is the advancement of music in the community, nation, and world through the promotion of musicianship, scholarship, and music education, with emphasis on service through music.
About Foundation
The Mu Phi Epsilon Foundation stages the triennial Mu Phi Epsilon International Competition and organizes Mu Phi Epsilon Artist Concerts. Philanthropic gifts support summer music programs at places such as Aspen, Banff, Brevard, Chautauqua, Music Academy of the West, Round Top, Tanglewood, and others. The Foundation also contributes to various year-round music programs around the country.
